An Anyway Love
by Shana Schutte

Your house is a mess and you are weary.
Will you love Me anyway?
You've been single longer than you dreamed, hoped, or imagined.
Will you love Me anyway?
Your child is involved with the wrong crowd.
Will you love Me anyway?
Your husband died.
Will you love Me anyway?
You have marital problems.
Will you love Me anyway?
You became pregnant out of wedlock.
Will you love Me anyway?
You have cancer.
Will you love Me anyway?
You're lonely.
Will you love Me anyway?
Your family has disowned you.
Will you love Me anyway?
Your finances are a mess.
Will you love Me anyway?
You lost your job.
Will you love Me anyway?

When you love Me anyway, then I can hold you.

Sit here.Let me wipe away your tears.

Oh yes, I know how it hurts--how life can hurt.
All those things you feel, I felt them too.
Every disappointment and bit of brokenness

I bore on a tree.

I have loved you

anyway.

Will you love Me anyway too?

Yes Lord, anyway, yes.

he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted."
